On Nov 6, the State Council Information Office of the People’s Republic of
China held a policy briefing in Beijing about policy measures for stimulating
the vitality of the ice and snow economy through the high-quality development
of winter sports.
In response to a reporters question, Hao Lishun, deputy director general of
the First Department of Equipment Industry of the Ministry of Industry and
Information Technology, said that new technologies, such as 5G, artificial
intelligence, and virtual reality, are becoming a powerful engine to promote the
high-quality development of ice and snow equipment, and these new
technologies have created many new products, providing ice and snow sports
enthusiasts a better sports experience.
Hao Lishun cited many examples when answering reporters questions. For
example, the virtual reality ski simulator uses virtual reality technology to
simulate real skiing scenes, so that everyone can experience skiing without
leaving home.
