In 2024, fewer new AI smart glasses were released. Looking at quarterly sales, the
first three quarters saw a steady increase, while the fourth quarter experienced a
surge due to traditional marketing events such as Black Friday and Singles' Day, as
well as active promotion by domestic and international brands. The highest sales
occurred in this quarter, accounting for nearly 50% of the total annual sales.
In terms of regions, the AI smart glasses sales in China amounted to 50,000 units,
accounting for 3%. The Chinese market is still in its early stages and lacks
representative products. In the overseas market, AI smart glasses sales reached
1.46 million units, accounting for 97%, with Ray-Ban Meta dominating the market.
Other brands have not yet released competitive products.
Regarding product types, 94% of global AI smart glasses sales in 2024 are camera-
enabled smart glasses, AR+AI smart glasses account for 4% with 60,000 units sold,
and audio smart glasses account for 2% with 30,000 units sold. In the Chinese
market, AR+AI smart glasses and audio smart glasses are the main focus. Although
several companies released new camera-enabled AI smart glasses in the fourth
quarter, mass production and sales will begin in 2025.
It is estimated that global AI smart glasses sales will reach 3.5 million units in 2025,
representing a 230% growth from 2024. This increase is primarily driven by the
continued growth of Ray-Ban Meta sales, the release of multiple new AI smart
glasses models, and the entry of major brands like Xiaomi and Samsung into the
market. The expansion of more AI smart glasses brands and manufacturers will
continue to fuel the growth of the market.
