In a collaborative effort to boost vocational training and skill development, the Embassy of Israel, Tata Steel Foundation (TSF), and Society for Rural Development (SARD) have launched "Kaushalyan VR on Wheels" in Jamshedpur. The initiative aims to leverage virtual reality (VR) technology to provide immersive and accessible skill training to youth and individuals in rural areas.
The "Kaushalyan VR on Wheels" program involves a mobile training unit equipped with VR headsets and software, designed to simulate real-world work environments and scenarios. This innovative approach will enable trainees to gain practical experience in various trades and professions without the need for traditional brick-and-mortar training centers.
"We are excited to partner with TSF and SARD to bring this cutting-edge VR technology to Jamshedpur," said a representative from the Israeli Embassy. "This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting India's skill development goals and empowering individuals with the tools they need to succeed in today's rapidly evolving job market."
The program will initially focus on providing training in sectors such as healthcare, automotive repair, and agriculture, with plans to expand into other areas based on local demand and industry needs. Trainees will receive certifications upon completion of their VR-based training, enhancing their employability and opening up new opportunities for economic advancement.
The launch event was attended by representatives from the Israeli Embassy, TSF, SARD, local government officials, and community leaders. The initiative is expected to positively impact the lives of many individuals in and around Jamshedpur, contributing to the overall economic growth and development of the region.
