Lawaken Technology has recently completed a strategic funding round
worth tens of millions CNY. The investors include Hefei Baohe Innovation Investment
Private Equity Fund Management Co., Ltd. and Meorient. The funds will be used to
accelerate the iteration of Lawaken Technology’s proprietary Wake-AI large language
model technology and the practical implementation of AI-powered smart glasses in
real-world scenarios, further strengthening the company’s leadership in the “AI +
wearable devices” sector.
Hefei Baohe Innovation Investment recognized the strategic value of Lawaken
Technology’s core technology—the Wake-AI platform—and believes in the long-term
value and potential of applying large AI models to wearable devices. The Wake-AI
model is characterized by its lightweight design and multimodal interaction
capabilities, supporting multimodal input and emotionally responsive output. It has
demonstrated advantages such as low latency and high accuracy in next-generation
device applications like smart glasses.
A representative from Hefei Baohe Innovation Investment stated: “Lawaken
Technology’s Wake-AI platform aligns well with Hefei’s planning for an AI industry
cluster. Its technology has the potential to set a benchmark in the consumer
electronics sector, particularly in smart wearables.”
Meanwhile, Meorient’s investment is driven by Lawaken Technology’s ability to
implement scenario-based functionalities in AI smart glasses. Through this strategic
partnership, Lawaken Technology will leverage Meorient’s global network in the
international trade show industry—particularly in Belt and Road markets such as the
Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Latin America—combined with its own AI smart
glasses and Wake-AI capabilities. The aim is to provide key features like real-time
language translation and cross-cultural business negotiation support for Chinese
enterprises expanding abroad, helping them overcome geographical and linguistic
barriers.
Lawaken Technology’s AI smart glasses currently support simultaneous interpretation
in over 100 languages and automated generation of meeting minutes, among other
key functions. Fang Huansheng, founding member and president of Meorient, stated:
“The two parties will integrate their strengths to deeply explore the needs of trade
show scenarios and pioneer innovative applications at the intersection of ‘AI
hardware + cross-border trade.’”
