Luru City- The Bengaluru Metaverse

Luru-Bangalore's Metaverse to be unveiled today at the Tech Summit 2022

Luru is an initiative by #UnboxingBLR and is powered by #GMetriXR.

An immersive virtual rendition of the city of Bengaluru - modeled on the streets, hubs, hotspots that make the city truly unique.


Luru is envisioned to cover all of Bangalore in a phased fashion. Built for, by and with the citizens of this uniquely amazing city - Namma Bengaluru. The city of Bangalore is defining the technological prowess of India on a global scale, and Luru is a celebration of this with the city officially entering the Metaverse.

Luru’s aim is to unify the digital presence of Bengaluru in a modern avatar - the metaverse.

The launch of Bangalore’s very own Metaverse is set to give a push to the tech city as well as India as global leaders in the 25th Bangalore Tech Summit (BTS) 2022 which is to be held in the city from November 16-18.

The #Metaverse launch covers a section of Bangalore's vibrant Church Street with virtual stores, concert halls, public art and spaces, and even an auto-rickshaw to navigate various of the city. The aim of the launch is to unify the digital presence of Bengaluru in a modern avatar.



At the silver jubilee of the Tech Summit, the largest of its kind event in Asia, Bangalore City's Metaverse " Luru " - an immersive virtual rendition of the city of Bengaluru - modeled on the streets, hubs, and hotspots that make the city unique, will be unveiled.

The immersive experience of Luru will be accessible directly from the web browsers on mobile phones, desktops, and headsets.


Hombale Films (the production house behind Kantara& KGF), Manish Malhotra, Third Wave Coffee, Souled Store, and the Embassy Group have signed up as launch partners for Luru.
