Under this collaboration, RBU will provide the infrastructure resources for the AR/VR lab, while Focalyst will spearhead skill development initiatives. Qvolv will contribute by offering the necessary platform and technical facilities for the lab's operations. The initiative extends beyond traditional boundaries, welcoming students from other departments and institutions who possess relevant computer skills.
The state-of-art facility will serve multiple purposes:
Providing hands-on training in AI and VR technologies
Enabling research opportunities for students and faculty
Supporting the development of innovative AR/VR applications
Creating a collaborative learning environment
Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra announced that the university will provide financial support for internships and employment opportunities, making the program accessible to both RBU students and external participants. This initiative represents a significant step towards bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements in emerging technologies.
The partnership underscores RBU's commitment to providing cutting-edge technological education and preparing students for the future workforce through practical, skill-based training in AI and virtual reality applications.
