Recently, the first large-scale metaverse cultural experience space in central China,
the Long-lasting Civilization Intelligent Society VR Experience Hall, was officially
opened to the public.
The hall was built by PKU-Wuhan Institution for Artificial Intelligence over a two-year
period. It integrates popular science education and intelligent experience and is a
project of the National Experiment Base for Intelligent Evaluation and Governance.
Lu Peng, vice president of the institution, said: "When a crisis occurs in the
advanced civilization in the future, the audience will go back to the past and find the
core elements of civilization buried in the ancient civilization.
According to Lv Peng, the museum has CAVE area, time corridor, VR large space
and other areas, with a total area of nearly 1,500 square meters. Based on social
science professional knowledge, the script was a 30-minute virtual reality immersive
exploration experience.
Visitors wear VR equipment to enter the intelligent social scene, and experience the
evolution of Chinese civilization and the future social development model through
interactive elements and storylines.
According to the staff, the experience hall will cover the content of eight stages of human social development. Currently, two chapters have been presented, and the
subsequent content will be launched before March next year.
