On October 24, the world's first PVG optical waveguide AR glasses "Skylark"
developed by the Southeast University team, was officially released. On
October 23, Southeast University held a press conference to introduce the
PVG optical waveguide technology.
The technology was invented by the Display Technology Research Institute,
School of Electronic Science & Engineering, Southeast University. It is a new
high-end display technology independently developed by a Chinese scientific
research team.
The Skylark AR glasses using this technology have three main advantages:
firstly, it increases light efficiency by 300%, secondly, it significantly reduces
costs, which can be reduced by 60%, and thirdly, it is light and comfortable to
wear, weighing only 45 grams.
